Team A kicks a field goal on the first series. Team B commits a live ball personal foul during the kick.
PSKE does not apply during field goals in extra periods. Team A may accept the penalty enforced from the previous spot and retain the ball. Or, Team A may decline the penalty and take the three points for the field goal. Team B next puts the ball in play on the 25. (10-2-5-d)

2nd/10 B25. A27 advances to B's 18 where he is downed. B56 piles on A27. A27 retaliates by cursing B56. The fouls are reported to the referee. Then, A78 joins in the action by giving B56 a shove.
The penalties for the first two dead ball fouls by B56 and A27 were completed when reported to the referee and cancel. The penalty for the dead ball personal foul by A78 is enforced from the succeeding spot, B's 18. A 3/18 B33.

Blue 4/goal Red 17. A second extra period would be played if it was 4th down.

Red fails to score on their first series. Blue moves the ball to the 9 where they attempt a field goal on 4th down and goal. The kick is blocked. The kick does not cross the neutral zone. Blue recovers behind the neutral zone and advances across Red's goal line.
The game is over. Blue wins. The game would also be over with Red the winner if Red recovers the kick and advances across Blue's goal line.
14
During the third extra period, Red scores on the first series and scores a one-point safety on the extra point. Blue scores on the second series. Blue lines up to attempt the try by placement. The score is Red 28 Blue 27. The holder takes the snap and with his knee on the ground, flips the ball forward to an offensive back who advances across Red's goal line.
The try is successful. The play is legal. The final score is Blue 29 Red 28. NOTE: Beginning with the third extra period, a one-point try (although not illegal) will not score a point. If Blue did kick and the ball passes between the uprights and over the crossbar, the try would be unsuccessful. The final score would be Red 28 Blue 27.
