QUIZ: WEEK #6

RULING FORMAT: Team (A or B) in possession, down, distance and succeeding spot (example: A 1/10 A40). If relevant, also include other information such as whether the 25 or 40-second play clock will be used, whether the game clock starts on the ready or snap, if ZAP 10 is a factor or if there will be an extension of the period.

1. PLAY: 4th/goal B16. A16 attempts to hand off to A33 who muffs the ball on B’s 18. A16 recovers on B’s 22 and runs to B’s 8 where he fumbles. A33 recovers on B’s 10 and advances across B’s goal line. The game clock shows 0:31. Immediately after the snap, B96 pulled snapper A52 down by the face mask on B’s 17. Game clock?

2. PLAY: 2nd/8 B18. After the ready, all Team A players have been set for a second. Subsequently, A64 starts to slowly drop into a three point stance and is still moving when the ball is snapped. B44 intercepts A18's legal forward pass and advances for a touchdown.

3. PLAY: 3rd/9 B29. A5’s field goal attempts lands in B’s end zone untouched by a Team B player after the kick crosses the neutral zone. B56, upset about a previous play, badmouths the umpire on B’s 24 while the kick is airborne.

4. PLAY: Try B3. Third extra period. Second series. The score is A42-B42. B44 intercepts A17's legal forward pass on B's 2, starts to advance, is hit and fumbles. The ball rolls into B's end zone from where B96 bats the ball out of bounds on B's 1.

5. PLAY: 2nd/1 B11. Eligible receiver A88 fires out and blocks linebacker B56 on B's 9. A19 receives the snap and is chased out of a pocket by a posse who are about to wipe him out when he slings the ball underhanded and forward from B's 19. The pass lands on B's 10. No Team A eligible receiver had a reasonable opportunity to catch the pass.

6. PLAY: 4th/goal B4. The score is A28-B28. A3's field goal attempt is blocked and does not cross the neutral zone. The ball is rolling on B's 5 when B96 kicks (implies intentionally) the ball. 7. PLAY: Try B3. B96 blocks the kick, recovers the ball and starts to advance. B96 fumbles on B's 18. A77 recovers on B's 22 and advances across Team B's goal line. B67 commits a flagrant personal foul during B96's advance. Team A was in an illegal formation at the snap.
