QUIZ: WEEK #11


RULING FORMAT: Team (A or B) in possession, down, distance and succeeding spot (example: A 1/10 A40). If relevant, also include other information such as whether the 25 or 40-second play clock will be used, whether the game clock starts on the ready or snap, if ZAP 10 is a factor or if there will be an extension of the period.

1. PLAY: 4th/15 A25. The score is A28-B25. The clock shows 0:55 in the fourth quarter. B56 blocks A9's punt. The ball is in A's end zone when A9 bats the ball out of bounds on A's 8.


2. PLAY: A 2/5 B15. First half. The game clock is running. A66 moves resulting in B96 crossing the neutral zone and slamming A66 to the ground. The clock shows 0:09.


3. PLAY: 3rd/16 A34. Tight end A88 runs his route and B29 commits a holding foul on A's 40. A88 changes his route and A18 throws a pass in A88's direction. The ball goes off A88's hands and falls incomplete on the 50.


4. PLAY: 3rd/10 A40. QB A14's legal forward pass bounces off A87's shoulder pad on A's 39 and A87 secures possession of the airborne ball on A's 42. A87 runs out of bounds on B's 46. A77 was downfield blocking B56 on A's 45 before the pass was thrown.


5. PLAY: 4th/goal B7. The score is A21-B27. QB A19 muffs the snap. A67 recovers and advances into B's end zone. An official, thinking 4th down fumble, blows his whistle while A67 is running on B's 4. Time expires in the fourth quarter during the down.


6. PLAY: 3rd/3 B23. QB A15 scrambles and runs to B's 21 where he throws a forward pass to A88. B44 intercepts on B's 3 and is tackled by the facemask on B's 16. During the interception return, B66 held on B's 20.


7. PLAY: 1st/10 B45. On a down in which time expires in the fourth quarter of a tied game, B44 intercepts a long pass on B's 3. B44 advances to A's 22 where he is pulled down by the facemask. During B44's run, B77 blocked an opponent below the waist on B's 20.
