QUIZ: WEEK #7

RULING FORMAT: Team (A or B) in possession, down, distance and succeeding spot (example: A 1/10 A40). If relevant, also include other information such as whether the 25 or 40-second play clock will be used, whether the game clock starts on the ready or snap, if ZAP 10 is a factor or if there will be an extension of the period.

1. PLAY: Try B3. The ball is placed at the left hash mark at the request of Team A. Team A commits a false start to move the ball back to B's 8. A15's legal forward pass into B's end zone is incomplete. B44 commits defensive pass interference near the right sideline in B's end zone. Team A requests that the ball be placed halfway between the hash marks.


2. PLAY: 4th/5 B15. A6's low field goal attempt is blocked by B44 on B's 13. The ball falls to the ground on B's 13 where A56 picks it up and advances across B's goal line.


3. PLAY: F/K A35. A6's kick bounces high after being kicked into the ground. A89 leaps on A's 47 near the sideline and bats the ball backward to A's 42 where grounded A77 recovers. B44 had given a fair catch signal but neither he, nor a teammate, was in position to gain possession of the ball when A89 batted the ball.


4. PLAY: 4th/goal B14. The score is A25-B28. A88 catches a legal forward pass, advances and fumbles on B's 4. A55 recovers the ball in Team B's end zone. B96 roughs the passer. Two seconds remain in the fourth quarter. Clock?


5. PLAY: 2nd/3 A27. A16 takes the snap and attempts a quick pass to A83 who is just beyond the neutral zone. A16 is hit as he throws and the ball lands behind A16 on A's 23. B72 recovers and advances across A's goal line.


6. PLAY: 4th/6 B26. The score is A22-B27. A4 attempts a field goal. B44, in the end zone, leaps above the crossbar and bats the ball in flight. B44 recovers in B's end zone and advances to B's 22 where he fumbles. A66 recovers on B's 24 while grounded.


7. PLAY: 4th/9 B29. A4's field goal attempt is blocked and does not cross the neutral zone. A4 picks up the ball on B's 38 and throws a legal forward pass. A88 catches the ball on B's 24 and advances to B's 8 where he is downed. During A88's run, A66 blocked B58 on B's 18 with the initial contact in front and below the waist.
