QUIZ: WEEK #6

RULING FORMAT: Team (A or B) in possession, down, distance and succeeding spot (example: A 1/10 A40). If relevant, also include other information such as whether the 25 or 40-second play clock will be used, whether the game clock starts on the ready or snap or if there will be an extension of the period.

1. PLAY: Third and 12 on A's 28. A33 advances to A's 31 where he fumbles. The ball rolls backward and out of bounds on A's 26. Team B is flagged for a defensive holding call during the fumble.


2. PLAY: Third and 8 on B's 18. The game clock is running with less than a minute remaining in the second quarter. A33 is downed inbounds on B's 12. Immediately after the ball becomes dead, A67 commits a personal foul against B34. B34 then gives the throat slashing gesture to A67. Clock?


3. PLAY: Fourth and 14 on A's 16. B37 catches A4's punt on the 50 and advances to A's 2 where he is downed. Team A is flagged for an illegal motion foul. B86 holds on A's 4 during B37's run. Time expires in the first half during the down.


4. PLAY: Fourth and 8 on B's 48. A4's punt is caught by B44 on B's 14. B44 advances to B's 22 and fumbles. An inadvertent whistle sounds during the fumble. During the punt, B56 blocked A84 in the back on B's 28.


5. PLAY: Fourth and 10 on B's 40. A33 is running on B's 36 when B94 pulls A33 to the ground with a horse collar tackle. A33 fumbles before he is declared down. A77 recovers on B's 28 while grounded. Clock?


6. PLAY: Free kick on A's 30. B47 catches the ball on B's 15 and advances to A's 45 where he fumbles. A67 recovers on A's 42 and advances to B's 45 where he fumbles. B20 recovers on B's 44 while grounded. A88 is beyond Team A's restraining line when the ball is kicked.


7. PLAY: Second and 14 on B's 44. A34 runs to B's 32 and fumbles. The ball rolls out of bounds on B's 25. The game clock shows 1:59 in the second quarter. Game clock? Play clock?
