PLAYER INBOUNDS OR OUT OF BOUNDS

2-27-15-a-2: An out of bounds player who becomes airborne remains out of bounds until he touches the ground inbounds without simultaneously being out of bounds. (2014 Rule Change)

4th/10 B30. The score is A24-B27. A88 and B44 are airborne near the end line when both players touch the loose ball. A88 lands in B's end zone and is the first to control the loose ball. B44 jumped while having one foot on the end line. Time expires in the fourth quarter during the down.
Game ends. Final score A24-B27. Incomplete pass as soon as ball is touched by B44. B44 is considered out of bounds.

4th/10 B30. The score is A24-B27. A88 and B44 are airborne near the end line. A88 controls the ball while airborne but B44 touches the ball prior to landing in B's end zone. B44 jumped while having one foot on the end line. Time expires in the fourth quarter during the down.
Game ends. Final score A24-B27. Incomplete pass as soon as ball is touched by B44. B44 is considered out of bounds. B44 touched the ball before the ball was caught and therefore touched a loose ball.

3rd/10 B30. The score is A21-B27. A88 is blocked out of bounds by B44 and jumps from out of bounds, controls A16's legal forward pass while airborne and lands in B's end zone. B22 touched the pass prior to A88 touching the pass. Time expires in the fourth quarter during the down.
Game ends. Final score A21-B27. Incomplete pass as A88 was out of bounds when he touched the pass.

3rd/10 B40. A16’s legal forward pass is controlled by airborne A88 near the sideline. B44 who jumped from out of bounds contacts A88 but not the ball. A88 lands inbounds on B’s 28, controlling the ball and still contacting B44, and advances across B’s goal line.
Touchdown. A player is not out of bounds when he contacts another player or an official who is out of bounds.

F/K 35. A6's free kick, touched by B44, is rolling inside B's 5 when A88, who just went out of bounds, dives for the loose ball. Airborne A88 touches the ball before gaining control while grounded when the ball is on B's goal line.
Touchback. B 1/10 B25. The ball becomes dead when touched by out of bounds A88. It would be a touchdown if A88 remained inbounds. A88 did not foul because he did not return inbounds during the down.

3rd/10 A30. A88 advances to A’s 38 where he fumbles. B44 jumps from out of bounds and, while airborne, bats the ball backward from A’s 46. B66 controls the ball on A’s 48 while grounded
A 4/2 A38; Ready. The ball becomes dead when touched by B44 who is out of bounds. The fumble went forward and out of bounds and is returned to the spot of the fumble.

4th/10 A30. The score is A27-B29. Field goal attempt. B44, with a foot on the end line, jumps and bats the ball in flight just as the ball is about to pass over the crossbar. A88 picks up the ball in B's end zone. Time expires in the fourth quarter during the down.
Game ends. Final score A27-B29. The ball becomes dead when touched by out of bounds B44. A88 picked up a dead ball. B44 does not commit a batting foul.

F/K A35. Airborne B44 leaps from inbounds and is the first player to touch A4’s free kick when he receives the ball. B44 then lands out of bounds with the ball in his possession. The ball crossed the sideline on B’s 12.
B 1/10 B12; Snap. The kick was touched by an inbounds player of Team B before going out of bounds. Thus, no foul. Also, touching precedes out of bounds. (A.R. 6-2-2-IV)
