OPPOSING FOULS DURING
TRYS (8-3-3-a and 8-3-4-c) and EXTRA PERIODS (3-1-3-g-3)

When opposing fouls occur during trys and in extra periods, the rules are similar, but somewhat different from
10-1-4. If there are fouls by each team and Team B fouls prior to a change of team possession, then Team B is considered not to to have "clean hands" and the down is replayed. However, there is no option to accept offsetting fouls and Team B does not extend the try or series after penalty enforcement of its foul.

3	B44 intercepts and scores. A67 tackles B44 by the face mask. B98 was offside.	No score. Replay the down. Team B fouled before the change of team possession.
4	B44 intercepts and scores. During B44's return, B96 clips. A67 tackles B44 by the face mask.	No score. Try or series ends. Team B fouled after the change of team possession.
5	B44 intercepts and scores. Team A has an illegal formation B96 was offside.	No score. Replay the down. Team B fouled before the change of team possession.
6	B44 intercepts and scores. During B44's run, B96 commits a flagrant personal foul. Team A had an illegal formation.	No score. The down ends. DQ B96. Team B fouled after the change of team possession. The penalty for the flagrant personal foul does not carry over because the foul is offset and the down is not repeated.
7	B44 intercepts and scores. During B44's return, B96 clips. A67 tackles B44 by the face mask. B98 was offside.	No score. Replay the down. Team B fouled before the change of team possession.
8	B44 intercepts and scores. During B44's return, B96 clips. A67 tackles B44 by the face mask. Team A had an illegal formation.	No score. Try or series ends. Team B fouled after the change of team possession.
