| 1 | A84 is running down the sideline when he becomes airborne over the sideline as a result of contact by a defender. The ball crosses the sideline on B's six inch line. A84 extends the ball such that the ball crosses the plane of the goal line extended before A84 is declared out of bounds. |
Touchdown. A84 did not dive or jump to become airborne. The action by A84 is not voluntary. If A84 jumped prior to being contacted by a defender, it would be A's ball on B's six inch line. [See 2009 NCAA Bulletin #3, Play 10] |
